The Executive Learning Exchange coordinates F2F (in-person & virtual) experiences throughout the year designed to provide more in-depth understanding of a variety of focused concentrations. Each of these two afternoon sessions is an opportunity to collaborate with our peers based in Asia. Session Focuses:
  1. The New Lawyer – developing new mindset, skills and values for professional future of work capabilities
  2. bWell – the Baker McKenzie global approach to mental and physical health and wellbeing in a high stress profession
Workshop activities and an interactive peer-discussion will dig deeper on envisioning the future workplace such as:
  • How would you describe a typical organizational culture today? What changes could make it more competitive mid-21st-century workplace?
  • Does employee training available today hone in on skills like creativity, judgement and intuition? How might we adjust it to better incorporate these?
  • How can digital assistants & machine participation enhance and advance the purpose of how an organization works?
  • For instance, could the role of trainers teach AI systems and how they should perform?
Why Wellness is Important for Agile Work Environments As a global law firm, Baker McKenzie is committed to a holistic approach to the development and support of their people and their performance. BakerWellbeing is a global initiative of education, activities and support. The goal is sustainable high performance in a caring and psychologically safe environment, an environment where people speak up and ask for help. Resources on health and fitness, mindfulness and stress are available to all staff. Steven Ng will outline the business case for corporate wellness education programs, how bWell program works and the impact of the program to meet the future needs of an agile work environment where we plan to cover:
  • What type of stress occurs if you are able to make an informed adjustment to the gap between demand and capacity?
  • What is mindfulness practice?
  • What actions could leaders take to create a more positive emphasis in a very busy environment?

  1. Sharing practical case studies aligned to business needs
  2. Identifying key issues and developing insights and solutions
  3. Canvassing HR & talent development industry trends applied at ELE members' workplace
  4. Blending formal & informal learning hosted at ELE members' workplace:
    • Hosting ELE Member provides an informal on-site lunch & plan to host an informal networking reception.
