Listen to Richard
|
Richard has spent the last 7 years of his career with Grant Thornton’s Strategic Learning Group. He has had responsibility in several areas, including managing internal client relationships, leading learning design and development and driving measurement of learning impact. Currently he leads the team’s technology efforts to drive innovation, learning effectiveness and operational efficiency through the organization.
During the first part of his career, Richard worked in Spain, first performing market research and then teaching English as a second language to business professionals. In the U.S., he then managed client relationships and led business development efforts in the financial services industry.
Subsequently Richard worked as a Partner at Thinkeractive, a learning and development-focused consulting firm, which served clients such as Accenture, Wrigley and the Chicago Public Schools.
He earned his BAs in Marketing and Spanish at Michigan State University. Richard later completed his graduate work at Northwestern University, earning a Master’s degree in Learning Sciences, a combination of learning theory, cognitive psychology and technology.
Richard has spoken at a number of professional events and organizations, including the ASTD BEST Awards, Elliott Masie’s Learning 2006, and Northwestern’s School of Education and Social Policy.

Lisa has a wealth of experience in promoting life long learning principles and building employee learning strategies that are aligned with organizational business needs. Lisa has over fifteen years of experience at the University of Chicago Medical Center where she was most recently the Director of their Learning Academy, one of the first corporate quality universities in health care. Lisa holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Communications from Purdue University.

solutions. She has been with Allstate Insurance Company in Northbrook, IL
for the past eleven years in various capacities. She currently leads design
and development of online and blended learning solutions that support
insurance and financial services products, compliance, enterprise
applications and initiatives. She is also the senior manager supporting
Allstate's enterprise learning management system. Prior to Allstate, she
worked for three major telecommunications companies and in private
consulting. She holds bachelor degrees in English and Education and a
Masters in Business Administration.

Kelli Rai joined Harley-Davidson in 2003 and currently manages the Retail Merchandising Department within the Retail Environment Group. A certified Instructor/Facilitator and Instructional Designer, she and her team develop curriculum and training for the Harley-Davidson Dealer Network on best practices for retail environments, then works in collaboration with Harley Davidson University to provide the training.
Before taking her current position with Harley-Davidson, Kelli Rai was the manager of Cabin Safety, Regulatory Compliance and Training for Midwest Airlines. She also worked in a variety of retail environments, including 12 years in apparel retailing.
